WORKING DAYS 2010 We are always looking for new helpers to join us. We normally meet on Sunday mornings in the Midhurst Road Car Park at 9.30am (this year's working dates are listed below). Occasionally we work on Saturdays too if it is a busy time of year. We are always finished by lunchtime. If you don't make it for the 9.30 start you can always find us and join in - we wear high visibility yellow "Liphook in Bloom" jackets around the village when we are working. We work in groups so it's very much a team effort and no experience is necessary! There is no obligation to turn up every Working Day, some of our team turn out just for the very busy times, such as planting days and clearing days, others choose to come every time we are out. We don't ask for a firm commitment - you decide - you can do as much or as little as you like - no pressure! If you're thinking about joining us or you'd definitely like to take part please just email us on info@liphookinbloom.co.uk. Alternatively just please turn up whenever you can - you can be assured of a warm, friendly welcome! At LIB it's not all hard work. On working days we stop around 11am for a well-earned coffee and a Kit-Kat. It's always a nice time to catch up with the rest of the team and have a natter. It's a great way to meet local people and make new friends. We also get together socially every year for a summer barbecue and a Christmas dinner. We fund these events ourselves (none of the sponsorship money goes into our social events) but we keep prices low so that everyone can take part. Working Days are great fun and will help keep you fit. You'll also be doing a wonderful thing for the village and your community - helping keep Liphook looking lovely - Liphook in Bloom.
